It gives me chills thinking of all those great first impressions. smiley

I still get that same feeling every time I see those signs, see the monorail for the first time, etc. when I arrive at WDW. I'm sure lots of other folks here do too. It's great, isn't it! grin

Racing for the rope drop to get on Space Mountain with my friend and her siblings. This was 1980 or so.

Wow. Great memories. Here's mine.
It was the summer of 1973 and my very FIRST visit to, what was then, the Magic Kingdom. I really don't remember it being called Disney World. There were A - E ticket rides. Space Mountain and Pirates weren't even open yet. I remember "It's a small world" and how much I loathed (sorry folks!) that ride.
I also remember the Haunted Mansion and how much I wanted to keep riding it.
I wish I still had the mouse ears I got on that trip (I had my official "Mickey Mouse Club" membership club card.
I don't actually remember the monorail, but I do remember the tram cars that took you from the parking lot.
Now I return for my 24th (?) trip. I've really lost count because I've been so much. WDW always makes me feel like I'm eight years old again.
