Get me off of I-4 before Orlando and to POFQ on the back roads! Honestly, that is the worst part of the trip coming and going, but after 2days in a van and tempers flaring, that is a really bad time! Is there anybody that has gone on the back roads? huh

We always take the "back" roads because that's just the way Mark likes to do road trips.

I can ask him to give me the route from his Garmin because we stay at POR and it is set to take you right there.

Mark says the way we go would be way out of your way. sad Since we are coming from the west and you are coming from the north it wouldn't make sense for you to try to go our way. Sorry I couldn't help you out.

417, the Florida Greenway, takes you a bit out of the way as it curves around and outside of Orlando (plus it's a toll road), but we love it when we want to avoid the insanity of Orlando traffic. You will catch it near Sanford (just by the Sanford mall), and it will drop you almost onto Disney property.

WE have taken 417 also when we lived in Charleston SC....yes it does take you out of the way- but it avoids what you want to avoid.... grin we just considered it a trade off.....only time it really sucked a huge amount of time- was when there was a presidential motorcade---and depending on what time you are coming in- and the I-4 traffic... it could actually be faster...lol

Yup- 417/Greenway is the ticket.....as Don and Cindy have suggested.

Good luck....
