to purchase resale with a sooner expiration date, which of course, is cheaper, or buy in through Disney and get more years?

To me, buying direct from Disney is TOO expensive now.

I'm still not sold on DVC, honestly. I really love shopping for deals with codes, and even if I had the cash to pay upfront - not sure I would buy into DVC.

Let's say I have a windfall (wishful thinking) - why should I consider ithuh

We bought direct through Disney not for us, but for our children. The extra years will benefit them and hopefully our grandchildren some day!

If we were both perfectly healthy..then DVC wouldnt have been such a draw for us.....AP and Value Resorts were good enough------
As it stands now- the advantage of using a 1 bedroom with a whirlpool/kitchen- with freezer compart in fridge....etc.etc.etc....has been critical to DH having some quality of vacation for any extended length.....
The fact that the resort has over backwards forwards and sideways to make our every thought come to reality has been priceless for us....and a blessing beyond measure.....
We would never spend the kind of money at rack rate for those kind of accomadations....but knowing we can have them this way- makes it doable- and still keeps our Disney Dreams alive....and we do feel like family... wink
