Since we just got back from Mexico and loved it - thought I would try this resort in September. We have only visited previously, have never stayed there.

Have stayed there twice, and have not been impressed either time...but I will add I believe that is due to being stuck out in the Casitas area. Both times I requested either Ranchos or Cabanas; neither time was it granted. Those areas are not nearly as expansive (or desolate) as the Casitas.

The pool on the other hand is fantastic!

We stayed there 1x back in '99, and overall we enjoyed our stay.

Pros:
We found it to be a very pretty resort. We liked the theming.

The Pepper Market food court. We loved the offerings they had there. We have even went back a few times post-stay just to eat there.

The pool area has a cute theme.

Cons:
It is a VERY spread out resort. I believe there are around 5 or so bus stops throughout the resort.

It is a conference resort -- meaning MANY conference guests milling about. This can clog up buses esp. to DTD. This also means the pool/food court areas can be very congested for those conference guests NOT wishing to leave the resort on their downtime.

Stayed there twice, liked it well enough, didn't have any bus trouble, cafe rix and pepper market didn't do much for us! Beautiful resort, we stayed in Cabanas, it is a hike to get around, you can hop the bus and ride to the front as the front stop is the last one before the parks! We drove to the front to get to the eating places several times with no issue. Maya Grill had good uncrowded breakfast, didn't try it for dinner! Conventions can get crazy. The pool is very nice, but very crowded, smoking rules weren't enforced to our liking at the pool, that was a bother a couple of times. Rooms very nice!

Awww!

You would have liked Corinado, honest!

It is my favorite of the moderate resorts. True - it does not have that cozy kind of vibe that the Wilderness Lodge does, but it is a beautiful resort & the guest rooms have all been refurbished recently.

I am partial to the Southwestern theme, so I think that made me fall in love with Coronado Springs. I also enjoy Mexican food, so the Pepper Market is a great option for quick-service dining.

Have a great time on your trip!
