If you are taking friends to WDW for their first visit, what time of year would you take them and for what special event?

I am assuming these friends are going to want to go back...While my favorite time to go myself is Christmas-
I Think it is overwhelming to go for the first time during Christmas- and it sets you up for disppointment if the next time you go the holiday stuff isnt there...
I choose Flower and Garden...a minor ramp up with extra things...but still time to take in the traditional stuff a newbie should do....

Spring, Flower and Garden Festival.
While home is still waking up from winter, the World is alive with color, scents, warmth and fun.

I went with Fall Food & Wine Festival. The fall decor at the World is just so pretty, and the F&W Fest is a blast.

We just went in the fall (which is my favorite season), and we loved it. The weather was great, and the atmosphere was wonderful!

I chose "other" since I would choose January. WE just really enjoyed it this January - low crowds (for the most part, anyway), great weather, and lots of magic!!!

If not January, then definitely Christmas is the 2nd choice.

I'm torn between a time that would hook a newbie into our Disney thing or a crowded, hot time that would not hook them and therefore not increase wait times for me. tongue
